Project Description
RMT was contracted by the Virginia State Police to build a new PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) for the HEAT Team. This project is generally described as the demolition of an existing structure and construction of a new free-standing single story 4,100 SF building. The new PEMB consists of a 1500 SF garage, six offices, an analysis lab, breakroom, collaborative space, reception area and restrooms. The scope of work included demolition & removal of the existing structure, site preparation, erosion & sediment controls, earthwork for utilities, waterline construction, asphalt & striping, concrete, building erection, nonstructural metal framing, furnish & install all doors/frames/hardware, aluminum framed entrances & storefronts, thermal insulation, mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems, fire-protection, carpentry, casework & countertops, ACT, resilient flooring, tile carpeting, drywall, paint, and all specialties.
