Pre-Construction Services go way beyond just estimating what a project will cost and are absolutely essential to the development & construction process. Design & Pre-planning, site evaluation & testing, organizing, preliminary budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering to suggest potential time and money savings without compromising quality, scheduling, permitting, a review of the means & methods, a plan of delivery. Prequalification & bid process follows to a create a construction team for each required division. RMT Construction & Development Group works closely with the owner and the Architect / Engineer to review the process and ensure that all aspects are evaluated.
General Contractor Construction Management Construction Manager At-Risk
CM At-Risk is a delivery method which delivers a project within a Guaranteed Maximum Price – or GMP and within an agreed timeline. RMT acts as consultant or team member during the development of the design phase by providing pricing, construction staging, and construction advisement to the owner and A/E team. RMT would then develop and administer bid packages, provide project budget management, manage all labor forces and overall project coordination. Our project team works hard to provide the best possible Procurement, Project Management personnel, Assistant PM, Site Superintendent, and an entire support staff to include our Estimating Department, Project Coordinators and Commercial Project Executive. This approach increases collaboration with the owner, A/E, and Construction Manager and strengthens the teams’ allegiance.
Design & Build
With many years of Design/Build experience, RMT understands the importance to our clients desiring a single point of contact throughout the construction process. The Design/Build method is not only cost efficient administratively, but also cost efficient by means of design. By allowing the GC to work directly with the A/E team, we are able to assist in providing ROM’s, avoid costly design changes while maintaining overall integrity, seek input from partner trades, and much more. The owner is reassured that the collaboration between the General Contractor & A/E team will ultimately deliver the project on time and within budget.
Facilities Maintenance Services
RMT Construction & Development Group performs Facility Maintenance services to several organizations, agencies – private & municipal – and institutions in the Central Virginia area. RMT maintains numerous prequalified annual contracts and performs on call construction & repair services. RMT is also a licensed Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing contractor.
